Application and Information
Due – March 2, 2026
Albany County Cow-Belle Scholarship information
1. Eligibility
- Applicant must fill out the application for this scholarship and it must be received before or on the due date.
- Must be a permanent resident of Albany County, Wyoming or of the Laramie trade area.
- Applicant must explain the need for this scholarship.
- Applicant must intend to enroll in post high-school training at an accredited institution. In-state institutions are preferred.
- Applicant may receive this scholarship only once.
2. Number and Amount of Awards
Four scholarships will be awarded this year. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $2,000.00 to be used for tuition, books and fees by the recipient. At least one Scholarship will be awarded to a relative of an Albany County Cow-Belle or an Albany County Cattlewoman.
3. Selection
A. Selection will be made by Albany County Cow-Belle Scholarship Committee.
B. Recipients will be determined on the basis of:
1. 30% financial need
2. 20% scholastic achievement
3. 30% personal goals and effort
4. 20% community involvements
C. Personal interview with the selection committee may be required.
4. Consideration will be given to advanced students or older students returning to school, Agriculture related majors, and people who have been or who are currently involved in the promotion of Agriculture.
5. Materials to be included with application.
1. Copy of current high school or college transcript
2. Two current letters of recommendation (preferably from an employer,
teacher, activities sponsor or a counselor)
6. Application deadline: March 2, 2026
