Albany County CattleWomen recognized three individuals with awards in 2022.

Jack Settlemire took home the 2022 ACCW Friend of Agriculture Award. Jack has long been involved in Albany County agriculture through selling livestock feed and supplies, horse shows, county fairs and helping the Albany County CattleWomen with our Annual Ranch Tours. Jack served as emcee for many of our tours, entertaining participants with local ranch history and great Wyoming stories.

Betty Wortman for her outstanding service to Albany County CattleWomen. Betty takes the lead on the Annual Ag Expo, serves on the Scholarship Committee, the Ranch Tour Committee, Scrapbooking Committee, takes care of ACCW Properties, arranges awards for scholarship winners and Lifetime members, and so much more. She is a welcoming presence for our new members and is a pro at getting them involved in our activities. Her institutional knowledge of ACCW has been valued as we have worked through the changes brought about by the pandemic and our current recovery. Betty’s friendship and her positive attitude keeps going forward. Thank you so much to our winners this year. We are proud to show our appreciation for your contributions to Albany County CattleWomen.
Carol Price won the 2022 Outstanding Ranchwoman Award. Carol takes an active role on her family ranch (Shaffer Ranch) near Rock River. She was the prior President of Albany County Stock Growers and serves as Secretary to the Rock Creek Water Users Association.
