For the next year or so, I will be contacting the local and state Cattle Women’s groups to discuss the 2017 Census of Agriculture, other data NASS provides, and to answer any questions members have. I have tried to meet with your group at the Stock Growers meetings, but time is so rushed and I cannot spend as much time as I would like with the Cattle Women. I stopped by to chat with the Snowy Range Cattle Women yesterday and am making arrangements to meet with other groups over the coming months.
I have attached the brochures we now produce for Wyoming. They can be easily printed on 8.5×11 inch paper and used as needed when explaining or telling the Wyoming agriculture story. I plan to make 100 copies of each brochure and bring to the Region V meeting in Gillette. I also pass these brochures out at all meetings and conferences I attend. If you would like a supply of copies for other events, let me know and I can send them in the mail.
The Wyoming Business Council used to pay for printing of the annual Wyoming Agricultural Statistics books, but printing was cancelled in 2015 due to state government budget cuts. This book is a compilation of most of the statistics we publish annually for Wyoming and is very popular both inside and outside the ag community. I am trying to spread the word that the book is still assembled and posted online. I have attached a one-page instruction sheet that can be passed along . The bulletin is still online. https://www.nass.usda.gov/Statistics_by_State/Wyoming/Publications/Annual_Statistical_Bulletin/
